Michael Knowles made a pretty compelling case for not calling either of them today. There's little upside - why would you want to voluntarily blow up Biden's campaign in January when you could hold your fire until October and then destroy him if he's the nominee, securing the Presidency and the House?

Why would a defendant need “votes” to approve a witness being called? Can the president not defend himself independent of what the senate wants? Honestly unaware how this works.
