Scott Woodward's Pre-Game Equity And Inclusion Announcement

We had quite the thread going on the Score Board last night about the Pre-Game Equity And Inclusion Announcement, but of course it was deleted and anyone that didn't agree with it was labeled a racist. Perhaps on this board, we can ask the questions that some of us want to know.
My first question is to any gay or non-white person that attends LSU games. Where you reluctant to attend a game until you heard the announcement? Were you threatened in any way before the announcement?
I've been attending LSU games since the early 80's and have always seen many people of all colors, backgrounds and I assume sexual preferences. So why do we now need an announcement to let everyone know that it's ok for those folks to be there?
If I were a non-white or a gay, I would personally feel like the message was singling me out for not apparent reason, other than LSU using me as a pawn in their game.
My take is that the announcement totally unnecessary. And the fact that it is made is pathetic and weak. Anyone that buys into this bullshite, please give your reason as to why this announcement is needed.

Just some good ole virtue signaling by the LSU brass.
Coincidental that they did it during the Army game of all games?

Would be interested to hear a clip or see the statement that was given before the game.

I take my seats in the stadium about 10 minutes before the band takes the field, so fortunately I’ve missed it.
Landry is going to have to clean house at LSU and get rid of the woke that is rotting the institution to the core.

No, it's been played at every game since 2020. Thank George Floyd and the summer of love.

My kid isn’t going to LSU. Between the woke parade and the fact it’s surrounded by the ghetto. The education at LSU really isn’t far and away better than many of the other schools in the state. It’s popular large part due to athletics.

It's played prior to home games and has been since at least last season. Frankly, I'm tired of it, too, as it specifically calls out, "our black athletes."
No LSU fans are harassing LSU's black athletes or other team's black athletes at sporting events because of their race, and the virtue-signaling is cringe worthy to say the least.
This was obviously born out of the BLM movement and all that entailed, including CEO's botched leadership during that time.
As fans, we stand with all of our student athletes, regardless of their race. Period.

It seems like this is the most common sense observation, considering LSU has had black and gay athletes and fans for decades and always packs a venue for any game.
Was that not OK prior to BLM and Fentanyl Floyd? The fans and players prior to 2020 didn't seem to think so.

They were both all over it last night. Called me every name in the book while claiming to agree with the message. Just couldn't handle anyone disagreeing with them.

I guess he was responding to questions about a couple of the flag corps members.

When did they play it? We got in pretty early and maybe it had already been played but I sure didn’t hear it.
That sound system is crap so maybe from my SEZ seats it just didn’t carry???

Seems like a pretty logical take for someone wanting to raise their kids to not be gigantic vaginas.

ESG/DEI is a scam and you already see major corporate leaders getting away from it.
It's too bad that Woodward has jumped in on this because it's already the beginning of the end for this idea.

Because college kids are spoiled babies that need constant affirmations.

Equity at LSU canceled General Troy Middleton, an American Army corps commander in World War 2 who literally helped win it against the Nazis. Nuts to LSU.

Would you rather him wear his KKK outfit?
