quote:

"In this tragic moment, I encourage people across America to stand together in solidarity, and to support the Las Vegas community and all of those affected, especially by giving blood and encouraging others to do the same. In the face of unspeakable evil, our whole nation must respond with countless acts of kindness, warmth and generosity," Scalise said in a statement.

Scalise's continued support for gun rights stands in contrast to former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), who was shot in the head at a constituent event in 2011 and has since become a prominent advocate for gun-control reforms.

We were told to listen to Gabby Giffords gun control opinion extra hard because she was shot.

Let's see how that plays out here.

That's what patriots do

The guy that shot her, did he obtain his firearm legally or what? I don't recall.

Unwavering...he stands for something
And he is smart enough and stable enough to see what the future would be like without the second amendment

The Bill of Rights is about individual rights not individuals. Glad to see a member of Congress gets that especially given his circumstances.

Likely because a good guy with a gun saved his life. Funny how things work.

And James Brady before her. For some reason, I suspect this isn't a two way street.
