quote:Not knowing how a grand jury works is understandable, since most of us (including me) aren't familiar with the process. But it's strange that you so confidently make an assertion, since you clearly don't know, and you apparently didn't even attempt to figure it out.
They have nothing on Manafort. Otherwise they wouldn't be kicking his door in AFTER they went to the Grand Jury
Bob Mueller Is Using a Grand Jury. Here’s What It Means.
quote:
A grand jury, which consists of 16 to 23 people, is an important tool that allows prosecutors to issue subpoenas that require people to produce documents and other evidence. Subpoenas can also be used to compel people to testify under oath before the grand jury. You can expect Mueller and his team to issue many subpoenas in the months ahead.
quote:
Because grand jury subpoenas are an important prosecutorial tool, typically a grand jury is impaneled at the very beginning of an investigation, not at the end.
quote:And it even points out that we can't assume anything related to any particular target, including and especially Trump.
Indictments are usually sought at the very end of an investigation, after all of the witnesses are questioned and all of the documents are obtained.
quote:So I don't know what would compel you to make such a post, but it's clear that your conclusions have no basis in the legal process or reality in general.
So despite all the punditry on cable news, there’s no suggestion here that Mueller is closing in on any particular target, such as the president. In all likelihood, he’s just getting started.

quote:It's not only not as sexy, apparently they want treason to be even more encompassing than that. DawgfaninCA went as far as calling it treason when random people protest Trump and want him out of office as they are trying to overthrow the government. Yet, when I post Trump's revolution tweets when he thought Romney one the popular vote, and was apparently unaware of or against the Electoral College, well that wasn't treasonous.
And these guys have never cared about actual, legal definitions. Sedition just isn't as sexy as treason
Maybe I should use his views to generalize, given the San Francisco Bay Monster, among other views not really endorsed by many here, but I've seen a number of people who seem to think things, even some protected by the Constitution, are treasonous.

Because those 16-23 people know this investigation is supposed to be about Russia, If the SC comes in asking for the GJ to rubber stamp his hunt into personal finances, and issues in Turkey and Ukraine, he's probably getting blowback.
That's why they returned to the judge to seek warrants, to kick in doors
The more you know
