Lots of these tv personalities will become whatever they need to be to make money. Look at Meagan Kelly and Joe Scarborough. Both pretended to be conservatives until a diffent opportunity presented itself.

I partially agree. It can't all be Khan's fault. On the other hand, if these smaller scale attacks were happening in NYC, would De Blasio not get part of the blame? Just as Giuliano is praised for cleaning up NYC and for his responses during and after 9/11?

De Blasio shouldn't get blamed. In the US, investigating these vermins is a matter of national security. Now unless Britain leaves counter-terrorism to their local governments, then Piers is blaming the wrong person/policy again.

Wouldn't national intelligence work with local PD to track them down and/or keep watch on their moves as local PD would have more intimate knowledge of their local populace and the area?

Who knows if British intelligence did so or not. But you'd figure this is something that should still be handled by a national agency (well, at least here in America it is). We don't let local police do the work of the CIA or FBI.
I don't know how Britain approaches counter terrorism. But if they really rely on local police for counter-terrorism, then they're fricked.

Kahn has certainly opened his city up to these kind of attacks with his normal muzzy actions. I wouldn't doubt that he has told London pd not to comply with certain federal orders just as some mayors like to do over here.
