Because you seriously have to be secretly playing for the other team when you say things like this.

quote:

“If it was the only thing that movie won, it was gonna win Best Picture. There was no way. It didn’t matter if it was good or bad. I haven’t seen it. It was going to win. It had the magic word in the title, ‘slave.’”

It's brilliant. All he has to do is attach his name to something and it instantly becomes "racist right wing conspiracy theory."

And if he gets too popular, like when he was doing NFL commentary, all he has to do is say something racist and off he goes, having used the height of his fame as an opportunity to make all conservatives look racist.

I expect this to go in one ear and out the other. You'll roll your eyes just like you did in the face of "war on women" which was preposterous, according to this board, even though I've lost count of how many times I've seen "that's what we get for letting women vote" posted here.

Please get your heads out of your asses and kick this a-hole to the curb. If the communists win, considering all of the inflammatory shite I've posted on the internet, I'll be shipped off to re-education camp on day one - if they let me live, which they probably won't.

I knew 12 Years a Slave was going to win and I had never seen it either. I also knew MM would win for Dallas Buyers Club. So would the co-star guy. It's Hollywood. It's what they do. It wasn't hard to figure out.

I didn't think anyone took him serious anymore. I figured out years ago he was full of shite and it's all an act. I don't think he even believes the stuff he says. He's an entertainer playing a role.

I listened to him when he first started and once he became famous, he went downhill, fast.

I heard that segment. You have to listen to the whole thing, not just what you cut and paste from dailykos or huffington.

He led off talking about the monologue by Ellen degenerate.

Rush played a clip of Ellen deGeneres saying on the Oscars (paraphrasing) that either "12 Years" would win the Oscar, or evrrybody in the academy was racist. Big laugh. But she is the beloved Ellen. Rush says basically the same thing, and he predictably gets skewered.

He also said that they laughed at degenerate's joke because all good comedy has an element of truth.... And then he rolled into half-seriously saying the same thing that the oscar host said

I've seen both 12 Years and Dallas BC and I didn't think 12 Years was all that great. However, MM really did a hell of a performance in Dallas BC.

Are you kidding? Here's just one example. I've read some version of this on multiple boards.

And I've heard people say it, and not always in plain terms, but I'm not confused when someone says something like "dysfunctionals and irrational people shouldn't be allowed to vote." Gee. Whatever do you mean?

It didn't matter how good of a movie 12 years a slave was it was going to win no matter what. I alos knew that the girl in the movie was going to win too. I should have made bets on it.

On a side note. I think that girl that won is pretty.

I have tons of respect for Rush, but 12 Years A Slave didn't win because it was a movie about slavery.

It won because it was an incredible movie.
