Honestly, the most curious part of the announcement is the potential appointment of John Bolton as Deputy Secretary. He is extremely anti-Putin and Russia. If Trump wants a group of advisers that are combative with each other, this is one way to do it.

I see a guy who wants legislative action on climate change, received a national honor from Putin and the Kremlin, and a guy who doesn't want to continue with sanctions on Russia -- and then I revolt.
