What would you prefer to do--shut down America, and bring our social safety net to a grinding halt?

America is NOT the government (but I certainly understand why you think that way).

And, yes, I would like to see thw social safety hammock disappear

Isn’t it obvious the Repubs are sellouts
They really aren't. They know exactly what their conservative constituents want, a little tough talk, a little slowing of the growth of government, but ultimately to keep things moving as they are. Now, that might not be what you think you want, but when push comes to shove their supporters abandon them when times are tough and people start reaching for govt

Yup. The only surprise is that they capitulated before getting beat up for weeks by old people scared they aren't going keep getting their SS checks.

Everyone talks a big game, but how many voters want to cut of granny's check? Virtually no one is voting for a candidate that actually wants to cut the big expenditures in government.

They got what they wanted, the clean bill. They forced the Dems to remove all the nonsense and just keep the gov. running. They did not approve the debt ceiling or the socialism spending spree. It is this level of ignorance that has our country in the shape it is in. No one even knows what is really going on, they just focus on the clickbait headlines

/\ THIS /\ is what I was hoping for - but I lake the skills to interpret all the behind the scenes maneuvering that goes on in DC.

IF they can just shut down the incoming Pelosi crap, it will be about as good as we can expect. Delay all the extra $$$$$$$$ crap til after mid-terms.

Then kill and bury it.

So your saying we're in good hands. We simply don't understand the complex issues confronting the nation and misinterpret events.

So, there is not inflation? The deficit isn't extreme? We didn't leave citizens in Afghanistan?

What in the F are you talking about. They have this budget... Spending show every year, and every year the deficits just keeps growing parabolically.

Why in the hell would any rational person perceive the Congress as anything but opportunists?

I'm sure your trying to alibi for Turtle and gang, but give it up dude.

Democrats: We have to vote for the bill so we can see what's in the bill.

Republicans: We have to vote for the bill so we can prevent this terrible bill from becoming law.

And the crowds cheer.....

Smart people see what's coming. The don't like it but they see what's coming.

Don't.

Stop legitimizing a sham that provides cover for a system run by and for globalist elites.

The morons that think this is a win are just reading and regurgitating media spin. They are either paid shrills or complete morons.

We are feeling the inflation of the Trump-era printing right now. Trump fans ceded any argument on the debt/spending last year.

Conservative reps can't say a thing about the debt because they did NOTHING about it when they had the chance

That being said, there may be inflation from Trump era, but what is coming down the pipe will be 100x worse. The supply problems are not the effect of Trump policies.
