Republicans being hypocrites invoke "martial law" for AHCA

quote:
Under the martial law procedure, long-standing House rules that require at least one day between the unveiling of significant legislation and the House floor vote on that legislation — so that Members can learn what they are being asked to vote on — are swept away. Instead, under “martial law,” the Leadership can file legislation with tens or hundreds of pages of fine print and move immediately to debate and votes on it, before Members of Congress, the media, or the public have an opportunity to understand fully what provisions have been altered or inserted into the legislation behind closed doors. This is the procedure that the Leadership intends to use to muscle through important bills in the next two days.
Now unless I am misinterpreting this (which is possible), essentially, one of the major criticisms of the ACA was that hundreds of pages of new shite was cobbled together at last minute and was voted on even though Congressmen admitted they didn't even have time to read it. It appears, at least to me. That Republicans may be about to do the same thing.

With hypocrites expect hypocrisy.

I mean, we do have to pass these laws so we can see what's in them. Nancy Pelosi assured us that this is how things work.

It's not hypocrisy when it's justified.

Pathetic
What we need is an actual law
No bill may be voted on until it has been posted on a publicly accessible website for 72 hours"
Not a promise by a liar, but an actual law.
