I was out of the country last week, and mostly off the grid. Today I expected to find at least some updates on Scalise's condition and progress. There is nearly nothing. Where is the MSM coverage?

The linked piece compares coverage of the Giffords and Scalise shootings.
quote:

Data Shows Media Covered Gabby Giffords Shooting Twice As Much As Steve Scalise Shooting

In the week after each shooting incident, newspapers nationwide ran more than twice as many articles mentioning Giffords as they have Scalise. Coverage from the “big four” was more disparate, with The New York Times mentioning Giffords three times as much as Scalise and Washington Post doubling its Giffords coverage despite the Scalise shooting being in the Post’s regional terroritory and easier to cover than a shooting all the way across the country. USA Today mentioned Giffords nearly four times as much as it did Scalise in the week following both shootings.

It seems of late for example CNN is VERY concerned about Trump's "violent" tweets. Yet several of CNN's finest openly lauded a stage depiction of Trump being stabbed to death. It is an incredible double standard.

They have an agenda, plain and simple.

I wondered yesterday how Steve was doing and why there has been zero media coverage of the incident over the last couple of weeks.

I listened to talk radio yesterday where an idiot was outraged at DJT inciting violence against the media with the CNN wrestling tweet and immediately thought, "like an asassination attempt on republican senators"?

One had a President in office who was so insecure he needed reassurance daily. The other is Giffords.

ONe was a WOMAN and a DEMOCRAT, the other was a WHITE MALE and a REPUBLICAN.

Yes I had to yell that out.

Hope he and his family are well this day.

Team Shooter buried all the perp info too. If he was a register republican every school child in America would know his name.

We have long quipped that "liberalism is a mental disorder."

I appears this is more a medical diagnosis than a mere quip these days.

DEM/MSM cabal is driven by mentally incompetence and morally bankrupt individuals.

Because he is out of intensive care and he is doing fine. What other coverage do you expect? Giffords was in the hospital for something like 6 months and 6 others died in the shooting.

If you take off your political blinders it's pretty easy to see why there was more coverage.

One was the most overt politically motivated shooting in this country since the Lincoln assasination, the other was pretty much just the typical crazed gunman you see 2-3 times a year where a congresswoman just so happened to be caught in the crossfire.

Yep, clear as day to see why was a huge multiple year story and why the other was a one day mention and forget it.

An obsession with Jodie Foster /= a political motivation. Nor does one with Charles Manson. And Oswald was just a wascally rabid republican, huh?

Nope.

They weren't overtly politically motivated. All were motivated by purely fringe issues. Which one are YOU asserting is more so?

The guy who shot Garfield was pissed because he didn't give him a job.

I'm right, you're wrong. Sorry.

To be fair Giffords was shot in the head and other people died. No one thankfully died at the Scalise shooting. So I think the Giffords shooting could be judged as more serious. We were at first told Scalise was shot in the hip and in the first few hours we didn't know how serious his injuries were, but Giffords injuries were immediately reported as serious.

Trump was the one who said he would be fine. He was the first to "report" on his condition (pre-maturely).
