Except, as you've pointed out, our legal system doesn't work that way.
I feel engaging in a consensual sexual act is contract between two people who are aware of the possible outcomes.

The One (black wife) Percent have had it too (black son with a huge afro) good for far too long, and those (looks like Artis Gilmore) fat cats in Washington need to know that we (can hold 800 pencils in it) won't take their corporate bullying any (black wife) longer!
Bill de Blasio.
is a fricking scumbag.
It's her body
quote:Dude. Have you actually read this terrible thread?
FYI, ballcaster is not a debater. He can't look at an issue and produce arguments for or against something. Ergo, he results to name calling and says ignorant shite like, "you can't do anything about it anyway, why bother?"
Please read above. In truth, there is no rational way to make this particular issue equitable. Right now the woman is the one who gets pregnant, therefore she maintains the power. If the man is the one who decides, then he holds the power. There is nothing equitable about either.

We have differences in political ideology
quote:That's the only thing that's pregnant. Her body is pregnant, so she gets to decide what to do with it. There's just no debate to be had here.
It becomes about the woman and this ridiculous notion of "her body."
She can decide to have an abortion or sign up for an adoptive service without even a thought to what the father wants.
This thread has nothing to do with political ideology. This thread is a joke.
The person who started the thread is not serious about the subject matter he brought up.
This thread should be renamed "The Million Pussy March."
quote:He doesn't feel strongly about them. All he will ever do about this is discuss them on a message board. He'll never do anything about it. Nothing to do with whether or not I agree with him or not.
Because you disagree with his opinions does not mean he doesn't feel strongly about his own.
I know it must be frustrating to some(especially on the right) that we cannot control the bodies of women, but ............,'
quote:Talking like this is heresy in this country these days, but I'll admit that the way I feel is...maybe not in the same ballpark as you, but at least in the left field parking lot.
I have to agree in an oblique way. Men are always the responsible party. Always have been, and unless the whole gender confusion policy of current society takes hold, they always will be. (and hopefully that current policy won't take hold because then confusion will be the coin of the realm.)
Don't stoop to squabbling about sexual equality. Men aren't well equipped to match a feminine verbal assault. As ballcaster said earlier, "Nobody cares" about your personal feelings. When that baby drops between the legs of a helpless woman, people look for answers. AND the people who they look to for answers are MEN.
It is our lot in life as men. You carry the load.
quote:Or else, what?
When the zygote, child, whatever you want to call it possesses 100% of the mother's DNA, then it is her body. When my DNA is in the mix, I should have a say in what happens as well.
