Jaimie Foxx and Jim Carey have both made statements supporting her. Saying there is no such thing as crossing a line when it comes to art.

Meh, I'm fairly OK with someone making jokes about sensitive topics in comedy. Some of the best routines come from stuff like that. Hell, part of the President's unofficial job description is being the national punch line. Been that way since George Washington after all.
My problem with Kathy Griffin is she loves to dish it out but collapses into an emotional black hole if she gets any of it back. Hell, Jay Leno, Leno mind you, made one quip that a photo of her and Carmen Electra together looked like a before and after picture. Griffin was so emotionally distraught about this she broke down in tears and vowed to never go on the Tonight Show again.
Mind you Griffin didn't have a bit of trouble making fun of Brooke Shield's mom being drunk at Brooke's wedding even after being asked not to. And Shields is the person whose sitcom basically saved Griffin's crappy comedy career.
If you are going to hold the blood drenched severed head of the President up in a photo shoot... you are going to get some negative feedback. Don't do the joke if you can't take the response to it.
Frick her. She's a horrible human being. The joke wasn't even funny. The only person who brought this on Kathy Griffin was Kathy Griffin.
