as a journalist, she's a hack. she is agenda driven and her only goal is to take down conservatism and Republicans. she is insufferably and interminably self congratulatory and along with the rest of the msm she has been chasing ghosts of wisps of ephemera. she tried for a full year to tie Christie to bridgegate, she strained so hard and totally flamed out and she is doing the same thing again now

however, the report she did the other night that was referenced by another poster a couple of days ago regarding Pence and Flynn is something that I have wondered about myself.

When Flynn fell on his sword without a single word of denial or protest, and the narrative was that he had lied to Pence and ever since then Pence has seemed, pensive, it just seemed awkward and too convenient. All Flynn did was not register as a foreign agent/advisor. it was ok for him to be a foreign agent, he just needed to register. And he did not mention his contacts with Russians, but there was nothing illegal about his contacts (Dems still trying to prove the contrary).

But Pence had already made public statements saying that Flynn had no foreign contacts. Did Flynn cover for Pence? That is what Maddow is asserting.

Then in Maddows clips she pointed out that when Brett Baer questioned Pence about the Flynn situation, instead of answering his questions he responded that he had only found out about Flynn's activities that day. he repeated that twice to questions that did not ask for that information. It would be such minor points for Pence to prevaricate upon and then to cover it up would just be compounding folly. If any of that happened.

This is the last gasp of the Russiagate witch hunt imo. It's pure speculation by Maddow at this point. But it did make me wonder at the time. You can bet it will be part of Mueller's investigation,and the truth will likely come out one way or another.
