Intentional meh. People forget stuff and make mistakes.

Do you think we have a bunch of people "accidentally" illegally crossing the border. I believe you called them "wet backs". Which,by the way, isn't the correct nomenclature. It's illegal alien. You're welcome.

Conservatives have to be careful with taxes because the IRS targets them.
So it's logical that they would pay ALL taxes that they owe.

So you would say that ignorance of the law is a good excuse for breaking it? Yes?

That is classic Trumpkin logic, I love it.

I know there are a lot of conservatives on this board that are pretty serious about following the law - including misdemeanors such as crossing the U.S./Mexico border without stopping for inspection by US immigration agents.
And driving over the speed limit.

This isn't generally a criminal infraction. Though it is a lot more detrimental to public safety than simply walking across a border without stopping to say hi.

I would say that taxes are far more difficult than they should be. Lots of room for error. Which is why you are allowed to submit amended returns.

You are either in a country legally or you are there illegally.

And yes people who like to stay below the radar try desperately to avoid mistakes.
I don't usually like to talk ugly about slow people but I swear to all things holy that you're either incredibly obtuse or a Forrest Gump type of special.

We prolly wouldn't be 300 Million in the hole if we paid those taxes. Good point.
So I see your point about keeping the Illegals out and that being a positive for the bottom line

It's not really that hard. You add up everything you bought out of state that wasn't taxed, multiply it by 0.09. Is that difficult for you? I suppose if you are mentally incapable of addition and multiplication, the prosecution would go easy on you.

BTW, for people entering the U.S. from most nationalities south of the border, figuring your consumer use tax is actually a helluva lot easier than getting all the proper paperwork in order to enter the U.S. legally.

When a person who has not previously been deported enters the U.S. without stopping at the border for inspection, they have committed the crime of illegal crossing. They aren't committing an additional crime by staying. It isn't illegal for them to *exist* here, the illegal act begins and ends with the crossing.

...says the guy who thinks addition and multiplication is "difficult".

The law says you only owe traffic fines if you are ticketed for a traffic violation and are found or plead guilty or no contest.

Also - the law says you owe your consumer use tax without having to be informed that you owe it by the state. It is your responsibility to report the purchase and tax owed just the same as it is your responsibility to report cash or otherwise under the table income.

Any other dumb questions?

Thanks Captain Obvious. That isn't what I asked you.

Apparently, you Just keep asking them "Am I being detained?" Over and over and over again. Finally, they say frick it and let you go.

I'd venture that not many inner-city Louisiana Democrats will heed your advice.
