Because this whole post is made up.

Just like the clemson one the other day.

Nothing more than American Bridge paid protestors. not as well funded as their previous iteration as CTR.

Not sure what you are talking about.

What part of my post is made up?

Yes Indians have a longer wait. There are quotas and there are a LOT of Indians that want to come here since they speak English.

Not sure it is particularly discriminatory more just an artifact of government intervention into what could be handled by supply and demand.

I agree. I think these quotas are discriminatory.

There is actually a bill that will change this - HR 392. Hope it passes this time.

On a separate topic, if there we no quotas, that would have solved some of the H1B abuses going on. When a worker starts working on H1b, they have limited job mobility. That depresses the job market as a whole.

You can count the number of truly liberal posters who have lasted more than a couple years on this board on one hand

And the others were banned?

Since, there is a long wait for Indians (which is absolutely discriminatory), I will probably get mine in 2020.

How is it discriminatory? Is it discriminatory that Indians get over 70% of H1B visas every year?

Top 2 H1-B firms are Indian firms. Indians get an absolutely unfair amount of visas.

You're obviously not apart of the Tata/Infosys group, but Indians are being very well taken care of with American employment opportunities but not pay in some cases but still much better than India.

That's what I always thought. The H1-B just fattens the wallet of a few people while taking advantage of foreign workers AND screwing Americans out of the job opportunity. They need to make the salary required higher than it currently sits.

Yes. Here is the latest green card bulletin - LINK Notice how India is specifically backlogged.

Does this mean that Indians are targeted for an increase wait or that there are more Indian applications to process? The latter seems far more likely.

I disagree with the Trump policy, but it is anything but arbitrary.

The EO did not do this.

Would not solve much beyond a certain point. Salary is just one part. The other part is time. The companies that abuse H1b workers, make them work for 10-12 hours anyway. They will bump that to 15-16 hours now.

The wait is certainly because there are more Indian applicants. But when you allocate the same number of green cards to India as you do to Bermuda/Bahama/pick your own small country with low population, then what else is it if it is not discriminatory?

What is the justification of having the 7% per country limit (that is the per country cap right now)? What not 5% or 10%?
