You want Rand Paul to have a stance opposite the constitution?

I'm unlikely to vote at all, but I suppose I'd rather have a President Paul as opposed to anyone else.
Yeah, it's probably best you don't compromise your "principles" and go ahead and sit it out. Nothing more important than keeping your hardcore message board cred. That'll show 'em.

Not if he doesn't fix his stance on Voter ID.
How would this hurt him?
Do you think conservatives are going to vote for Hillary over Paul because of voter id? If anything it might help a little with disenfranchised democrats.

That was sort of a head-scratcher of a point. I could only think, perhaps, he's saying, if he doesn't jump on that issue it's going to cost him somehow in voter fraud. (Not that I'm saying I think that's valid). I can't imagine that's really amongst the biggest hot button philosophical issues for a lot of voters.

I'd vote for Rand. Hell even if he disappoints he's still better then our current guy.

It has less to do with 'board cred' and more to do with the fact that voting is useless and a terrible way to run a society.

With the last two GOP winners there being Huckabee and Santorum, and considering that Reagan lost there to Bush in 1980, it won't be all that damaging if Paul were not to win Iowa. Hell, McCain finished 4th there in 2008.

Rand is not only campaigning on transparency but he's attacking the real problem; gov't is too big, too bloated and too invasive on the everyday citizen and enables the culture in that den of thieves otherwise known as Washingon. Who knows, he may disappoint me but at least he acknowledges what the problem really is.
A president can't unilaterally shrink the size and scope of government. He can do what he is constitutionally enabled to do, but the majority of the shrinking is going to have to come from Congress. That isn't going to happen as long as there are tons of money and entrenched interests involved in the legislative process.

You're right. I'd rather run it by the barrel of my gun. Not your gun; my gun.

There's something wrong with Walker's eye.

How exactly do you think the results of elections are run?

I'd love a Scott Walker/Rand Paul ticket. I want a governor to be the nominee. And Walker, who shoved a big ole boot up the Teacher Union bloated arse, would be perfect.

By "our" gun- the one we voted for and consent to

Have you seen what's going on in Walker's re-election race? The Libertarian party of Wisconsin had its convention in April and its nominee for Governor in the November election is ...Robert BURKE, a former Republican activist. Walker's Dem opponent in November? Mary BURKE. The Walker-Mary Burke race is projected to be pretty close at this time, even though from a historical perspective it should be a win for Walker:
"Wisconsin voters have elected a governor from a different political party than the sitting president in 26 of the last 31 elections dating back to 1932; the GOP is 15-4 with a Democrat in the White House while Democrats are 1-18"
LINK
Will Libertarians cast their vote for Robert Burke, perhaps having a negative impact on Walker's final numbers?
Or will sloppy anti-Walker voters check off the Robert BURKE box instead of the Mary BURKE box, perhaps having a negative impact on Mary Burke's final numbers?
If the Walker-Burke race ends up as a nailbiter, those questions may actually have some relevance.

Because he wouldn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of getting the nomination if he's opposed to it...forget about facing Hillary...that'd be a pipedream.
