Rakim: A Quick Message About My Politics

Before I begin, I didn't want to address this with a thread but recent criticism and someone posting a thread about me as left me no other choice. For the record, the board should know I've worked on both Democrat and Republican campaigns in both US House and Senate along with local races in the Louisiana Legislature. I am by all accounts a political junkie and have a deeper understanding than many of you.

But to me, the obsession with Rakim is hysterical. I'm simply a vessel carrying the truth to my friends on this board. Despite how I am treated, I continue to post in good faith and as an ambassador of truth. I take on both the extreme right and left on this board as a counterbalance. Many have attacked me and have come to question my motives for being a member of the Poli Board along with my alliances. I believe being a true Independent gives me an emotional detachment many here desperately need.

Moreover, I've stated many times that I agree with ~70% of the Trump agenda. But I'm all about the business of competent government and delivering on the promises made. My loyalty is to the agenda, not to Trump. Now, if not walking in lockstep with Trump makes me the bad person then so be it but I'm here to let you know the Administration is on the clock. Trumps signature legislation is Russian Sanctions which he signed kicking and screaming. In addition, Tax Cuts are already in jeopardy and the President continues to get pulled into trouble because of unforced errors or the Democrats traps. If the legislative dream dies then so will Trumps support throughout the party.

Now, I do enjoy the back and forth banter on this board. I have fun with this Administration because it's so colorful. It's incompetent, but at the same time able to melt the left on any given day and so I play along as many of you do. Sometimes I will take opposing points of view to sharpen my perspective and to keep an open mind to those I disagree with.
