https://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2016/12/07/charges-possible-video-black-student-eating-chicken/

quote:

The teenager recorded a 16-year-old black boy eating chicken wings and in narrating the video called the older boy the N-word and made references to “being broke and on welfare,” said Morganelli, who called the video “reprehensible” and “repulsive.”

Didn't the media make a big deal about Trump eating fried chicken?

Somehow this will be Trump's fault

My comment about Trump was sarcasm. I just hate the fact the "south" gets labeled as redneck racists yet a lot of stories relating to racism originate in the Northeast

Despite what the media wants you to think, racism seems to be a much bigger problem up north.

As someone transplanted into the North and with family in the North, I can say anecdotally but with certainty that race relations are much better in many parts of the South than they are in the North, simply because of exposure. You have so many people up here from lily white counties who went to lily white schools that have absolutely no exposure to other races. Yet, they all have expert opinions on the subject of race relations somehow...

Doesn't matter what we do we will all be racists anyway. I've had my black co worker comment on me always getting chicken for lunch, because the grocery store closest to the job site has easy, cheap, and quick tenders that taste delicious. apparently i only get chicken to make fun of his blackness though, in hopes that he will ask for one.

Can't win. Why bother caring what any of them think?

I could buy homes for 1000 black families today and be called a racist tomorrow.

I have a top comment on a Facebook post of Dave Chappelle, where I suggest that He does more with his sketch comedy to relieve racial tensions than an AA President could do in 8 years. Of all the "likes" almost all of them come from Black people... and then you have the two comments from black angry women saying that i'm a racist for suggesting it, and that I only like his comedy because I think black people are only good to entertain me because I'm white.

It's a lot easier to say nasty things about minorities when there aren't any around.

I think we all harbor the same thoughts, regardless of race, but those who have to live in close proximity and regular interaction with other races have learned to keep that shite private.

This has always been true btw. I have spoken to many black folks who have moved back south and have said that they experience less racism down here. The people are nicer and a lot fairer as well.

Even if someone isn't exactly fond of a race that's not your own, it's going to be tremendously easier in all aspects if you treat everyone like a human being. Being nice doesn't cost anything.

I know people like to look down their nose at Wal Mart but they have the best fried chicken in Bossier City.
