His time as a deacon does not impress me. Many "deacons" in the Southern Baptist churches I knew couldn't wait to go to Dallas where their anonymity would let them and their sainted wife kick up their heels, remove the stick from their arse and ("Oh, dear LAWD!") have a few drinks!

I don't trust someone that is sanctimonious in front of others and a hypocrite on the weekend when they think they aren't being watched.

Maybe he was about to do some Cosplay with his wife. Was she dressed as a white tramp?

People getting upset over a Halloween costume from years ago? I'd vote for him if I could out of spite for the thin-skinned crybabies who get offended by everything.

A little anecdote:
When I was 15, Gatti's son and my little brother played tee ball together. I would occasionally help them out at practice. One day, he overhears a conversation about me needing a summer job, and mentions that he would keep an ear out (not a lot of work out there for 15 year olds with no skill). I didn't know this guy from Adam, other than the few games and practices I went to. Two weeks later, I had a job working for a carpenter where I gained some valuable skills and knowledge. That was 10 years ago, and I haven't seen him since.

Point being: If you don't like the guys politics (like me), then don't vote for him. But he is a genuinely good dude (unless he has changed that much) and this blackface ordeal is just another crock of horsehite that the media has blown out of proportion. Anyone who wouldn't vote for him now, but would have otherwise, is being a.... whats the word... snowflake.
