I'm drinking wine and working on a brief and watching Orange Is The New Black. I just got on to see how many upvotes my witty comment in the 'IRS Lost the E-Mails" thread got (I'm satisfied with the amount).

I give zero fricks about discussing any of this right now and I'm going to return to my wine and my show and my half-hearted attempt at this brief!

Good riddance, tools !

women don't really commit crimes...it is somehow always a man's fault, more often than not, a white one...except for the Christian chick, who is the only one who isn't a misunderstood person with unfortunate luck who fell prey to evils of men.

good luck with that

I think it's sad. A guy who claims to be in the military makes a complete fool out of himself on an anonymous message board.

I'm hoping he's a fraud regarding the military claim. Or he's just drunk on a Friday night.

In any case, it's disappointing.

Oh shut the frick up. You're a wildly successful international banking consultant and you're here spewing your bullshite, too.

Y'all are both being petty.

Choose a fricking charity in good faith or y'all both go about your business.

Meh, I've already done it. He's all internet tough guy BS talk. He makes a stupid, unsupportable statement, gets called on it, makes a bet and backs out, then starts making personal attacks for zero reason.

Dude, frick yourself. I was having a bit of fun. I didn't back down from a thing. If you want to act like a bitch about it, be my guest (wouldn't be your first time). I've shown a willingness to back the bet up without breaking any rules.

I offered to back up the bet with a charity. When I'm being petty, I'm generally not being all that serious. Russian is a smart poster who doesn't mind acting like a twat whenever he gets a chance.

I'm so confused.

Who will pressure Putin into giving back Crimea? What will they pressure shine with?

Why won't a charity bet work?

autocrats usually don't. That doesn't mean they're fricking incompetent bozos. I'm not sure this is something he strives for and it is not a good assumption to make. What's he really after, what are really his goals?

Russia is not in a better position than it was before he began Putin started flexing.

That remains to be seen.

and autocracies ignore those realities at the expense of the people, to forge through to accomplish what they want. We build bridges, worker safety is paramount. They build bridges, with bones. Same realities, but not every leader is equally concerned with the consequences of pushing beyond their limitations. And how far Putin is willing to go may be well beyond how far other leaders are willing to go. Not everyone is playing by the same rules. I hate to continue drawing comparisons to the german conquest of Europe, but nobody really knew hitler's true motivations either (even though he outlined it in fricking print) They thought they could appease him, but you cannot appease someone who wants everything. What does putin want?

quote:

frick Putin.

I can certainly support that sentiment.

everyone said Churchill was a nut as he spent two decades warning about a resurgent Germany. Chamberlain thought Hitler was bozo out of his league, until he met with him and was alpha'd into conceding the annexation of Austria and parts of Czechoslavakia. There is no historical precedence that suggests putin will pull back of his own accord and I can certainly promise you that the United States won't do jack shite about it. Economic sanctions sure, which is fricking stupid. Trade amongst the superpowers is what keeps peace.

Anyway, this has the potential to be a real mess, and I certainly doubt putin is peacocking on a global stage and then settling back down.

You didn't post your age in my demo thread for a reason, I'd imagine. I hope I don't become as much of a chickenshit a-hole as you have as I age. And if you really, really wanted to find out who I was or if my military service is real, it wouldn't take all that much.

I freaking hate Putin but I don't see anyone backing him down. I'm honestly curious what Navy is seeing. Don't care who's dick is bigger. Don't care how the bet is executed. Don't even care who's right. Just want to know on what Navy is basing his premise that Putin will give back Crimea.
