Notice in the past how Puerto Rico maintains their own Olympic teams like they are an independent nation, they constantly shite on white Americans when they visit the island, they continuously refuse to fully assimilate into American culture, they put Puerto Rican pride about American pride... but when they need money or help from the mainland, now all of a sudden they claim to love the Stars and Stripes and say that they are Americans in need, blah blah. They never refer to themselves as a collective as Americans unless they're in trouble. Classic.

So now State loyalty over national loyalty isn't a good thing?

Weak and ignorant people still deserve help. Politics should never trump tragedy.

Couldn't that be said about almost every state in the union except for maybe 3-4?

My own personal experiences this isn't true. Been to San Juan quite a few times.

Now they certainly do not make any effort to act like they are part of the US that is true.

I get all of this but they are a part of the US and it would be barbaric for us to turn our backs on them in this time of need.

It may suck but they desperately need our help and we should give it to them.

There are more Active Duty Puerto Ricans in the US military (10k) than the following states. (3.4 million population)

Alabama (population 4.8 million) - 8.7k troops
Mississippi (population 2.9 million) - 9.5k troops
Arkansas (2.9 million) - 8.7k troops

Along with 27 more.

There are more part-timers in the above states.

You forgot the part about dying alongside Americans in war when they are drafted into the military.

You really decided to go all in on your stupidity today, huh?

Considering Puerto Rico isn't a state? Also there's no such a thing as "treason" against a state, so state loyalty isn't something that can be measured. National loyalty is different.

Strannix was ignorant. At least initially. This guy is straight up fricking dumb. He hinges his argument on Olympic teams? Bwahahahaha.
