Citing his vote confirming Jeff Sessions as attorney general and his outspoken support of President Trump’s fossil fuel-based energy policy, powerful liberal groups on Thursday demanded that Sen. Joe Manchin be removed from his post in Senate Democratic leadership.

Nearly a quarter-million progressives signed a petition, delivered to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on Thursday morning, slamming Mr. Manchin, West Virginia Democrat, and arguing he no longer represents the values of the party.

Here's where the "party of tolerance" is folks.

Y'all have downvoted the heck out of me for pointing out their militant behavior and the inevitable course of events that is coming.

Adhere to our plans or else.

This is the same mentality that put people into ovens in the 30's and 40's folks.

Manchin was the only Dem I saw that walked out of his way to shake the President's hand as Trump was exiting the building. Kudos to him for being reasonable instead of arrogant.

Manchin just needs to switch to the Republican Party.

Only problem is our two closet Dems would publicly flip as well.

Then reelection will be a non factor for them considering the states they represent. Manchin, his whole state has damn near gone red this past election. He's safe as a Rep if he were to change.

Dude needs to leave the Democrat party and go GOP. Otherwise we will vote him out next go round.

I want him out too, but because he's a democrat.

I think the only reason he hasn't flipped yet is because if he does flip, then I believe he will lose his seniority, and will have to become a junior senator if he switches to the Republican side. At least, I think that is right.

Why is he still a Democrat?

The Far Left Democrat Party abandoned the Joe Manchin's of the country a long time ago. He needs to wake up & figure that out.

Question: Were you happy with Lincoln Chafee when he was a Republican Senator from 2000-2006?
