hold on now.
This is the conservative board right? You guys now want people to eat whatever they want for lunch and have people pay for it?
How about the skinny guy who can eat three lunches and not gain weight? How about the fat arse who sits and does nothing but eat but would eat five lunches if left to his own devices?
That's a broad brush you are painting with there.
I think most people in this thread see the multiple problems with the liberal policies.
First, you have someone complaining about a student not getting enough of what is a heavily subsidized meal (if not free)...and hasn't even considered the option that he bring his own lunch.
Second, you have the stupidity of the liberal policy that artificially sets portion sizes unilaterally because it thinks that the American population needs to be told what to eat...and an illustration of the problems it causes.
Finally, you have the realization that the program that is so dumb in the first place...that causes the problems being discussed...that is a result of liberal ideology...actually doesn't accomplish anything at all because said students are going to just end up bringing their own lunch.
In the end, you have unnecessary, wasteful spending, that doesn't function well, and doesn't successfully accomplish its stated goal, that forces individuals to buy their way out of the problems that the policy created. It is a microcosm of the failure of liberal policy.
I don't understand
I agree with that.
