Just an observation here, but has there ever been a president that is more acutely aware and paying close attention to what's going on in this country on what seems like a minute by minute basis than Trump? It just seems like in the past a president would need to have a full briefing on something like this and only then would we get a carefully crafted response. Hell we might not get a response until the next day if at all in some cases.

I know this is a joke regarding the way Trump speaks but it really is true and the majority of Cuban-Americans in this country really are good people who work hard and benefit this country economically. I would like to see Trump reverse Obama's end to the wet foot dry foot policy. They are escaping a dictatorship and are not coming here to commit crimes.

I don't know if this happened in Louisiana, but the sugar industry in Florida benefited huge from Cuban emigres. After Castro went communist, a huge amount of Cubans came over. I know the helped in the construction of the sugar mill our family belongs to.
