President Trump made a surprise visit to MedStar Washington Hospital Center, where Rep. Steve Scalise was being treated for his injuries after Wednesday's shooting at a Republican congressional baseball practice.

The president and First Lady Melania Trump took two bouquets of white flowers to the hospital.

MedStar Washington said Wednesday evening that Scalise was in critical condition and would need more operations.

That's how you lead during a time of tragedy. I am proud that I helped elect Donald J. Trump as President of the United States.

I am sure his hotel that the democrats are jealous about will be quite helpful to the family of Rep Scalise. Trump is a nice man. He is not fake like politicians.

Good

Trump doesn't seem like a guy who is often humbled, but it wouldn't surprise me if this got to him. I'm not blaming him for it, but knowing that nutjobs hate you so much they'll try to kill your associates has to be a pretty troubling feeling and just reinforces how lonely it is at the top.

and yeah with HIPAA I wouldn't be giving her name. I know a dumbass person that worked in the medical field and she bitched on her FB page about a person being afraid of the needle. She lives in a small town. She lost her job.

I think HIPAA is stupid BTW: You could be in bed B in the hospital and hear all of your BED A's roommates business and condition and a curtain is all that protects you. I also know many nurses fired because of it over the stupidest things.

I remember when my brother was in ICU critical his wife wouldn't let the priest give him last rites. She was ignorant and thought it was only given in death.

Jim Acosta is such a jerk with this tweet

WH official on hospital visit: "President Trump did not meet with Scalise and did not go into the room where Scalise is being treated."

Uh....maybe he isn't allowed in ICU right now

Only caregivers have a duty to comply with Hippa, not private citizens who happen to learn information.

Common misconception.

I've had parish priests who routinely mentioned that. One said he's given last rites to dozens of people who are currently alive and well.
