THAT is how the police are supposed to conduct themselves in that situation. The protester assaulted the police by spitting at them and she should be prosecuted for assault on a police officer.

He did his job. That person can protest all they want as long as they do it lawfully. Failing to disperse when directed to and assaulting an officer is going to get you that every time. Proper use of force.
