Which sums you up best? Be honest.

A. I am tolerant of the opposing side and view.

B. I am intolerant of the idiocy from the opposing side and view and make no excuses about it.

C. I claim to be tolerant but attack anyone not sharing my views because they are bigots and racists.

D. I used to be tolerant of the other side until they began to constantly display their idiocy.

I can actually enjoy discussing issues with a liberal for hours.

But, the second, and I mean THE SECOND they impugn my motives for holding a view, my tolerance ceases. Imply I'm racist, sexist, phobic, don't care blah blah blah and I'm done and it's about to get nasty.

When discussing politics with people that I normally don't discuss politics with, I find those with anti Trump sentiments waste no time in firing their salvos of hatred for him. It's then that I know this will not be a fair and balanced debate so I just move on.

A person accomplishes absolutely zero when talking to zealots, no matter what side of the aisle they are on.

I have always been very tolerant of others views in the mold of "I don't agree with you, but will fight for your right to say it..." but I'm not anymore. I'm so tired of the progressives and their intolerance and bitch fits since losing. I think we need to bring back the Cold War stigma with these left wing loons and start ridiculing them into all going to California

I find that most people can't discuss political ideas without being attached to the candidate of the day.

I could discuss basically any of the standard issues......education, social security, foreign policy etcetera etcetera while never even mentioning party or individual candidates

D. I am not tolerant of the other side. They're a bunch of Communists and are only worthy of ridicule and mockery.

I don't judge leftists by the nuts on this board, as I have leftist friends and relatives with whom I have reasonable discussions. It doesn't occur to me if I tolerate them or not, because I'm not an ANTIFA nazi.

A and B are the same, regardless of the embellishment.

"Tolerance" is just that. It is acknowledging the existence of something, and allowing it to exist and continue despite any opposition you may have to it and your ability to get rid of it.

"Acceptance" is more than tolerance. By "acceptance" you actually ascribe a legitimacy and quality to that other/opposing/different thing/belief equal to your own.

Libs/progs demand acceptance (and, in many instances, subservience to their view [i.e., their intolerance]).

I am intolerant of intentional dishonesty, organized deceit, personal corruption, logical irrationality, disrespectful arrogance, purposeful ignorance, violent 'protests' and addiction to ideological power ---- regardless of which side.

I am just as intolerant of any emergence of these qualities in the conservative arena just as I have always been wrt to the DEMs.

So - a qualified 'B.'

I view being "tolerant" of the left to be as stupid a proposition as being "tolerant" of ISIS.
