I'm sure all those "aides and allies" were just clamoring to talk to Politico!

I guess that's what happens when you don't have any experience nor an understanding of constitutional law.

Oh well. He'll eventually get there

I really don't understand why anyone would want to be President unless they're a Douche or a Turd.

He should have just applied for Circuit 9 Court of Appeals instead.

I think Obama had a similar quote.

the Juggernaut that is fedgov is momentous, and each entity has a agenda of its own.

I could imagine the position of pres being the worst job in the world, then getting there and truly seeing the political landscape and partisan agenda. even from the power hungry in his own party.

Not sure why this would be surprising. Every President has expressed the stress and difficulty of the job. I don't think you can truly comprehend the difficulty of the job until you are in it.

Has to be a bit jarring coming from a world where you snap your fingers and the decision is made with no pushback. Now he's finding out that the judiciary and Congress are not his employees there to do his bidding.

Trump often asks simple questions about policies, proposals and personnel. And, when discussions get bogged down in details, the president has been known to quickly change the subject — to "seem in control at all times," one senior government official said — or direct questions about details to his chief strategist Steve Bannon, his son-in-law Jared Kushner or House Speaker Paul Ryan. Trump has privately expressed disbelief over the ability of judges, bureaucrats or lawmakers to delay — or even stop — him from filling positions and implementing policies.

Trump to a tee...

doesnt understand legal requirements, has a 5th grade reading level and isnt well read at all.
has shitty advisor who dont understand legal requirements
does exactly what he did at his rallies, the old 'oh and btw' pivot

Yes, the former community activist turned junior senator with virtually no legislative history was well prepared. This is especially rich now considering libs are screeching about the misogyny of rejecting Hillary "the most qualified ever ; ;" when they proudly did the exact same shite in '08.

Not a Trump fan, but I imagine every president has that epiphany early on.
