Their parents should go back.

They should also go back. We don't want to "tear families apart", now do we?

It's much worse than that. Imagine if, in your scenario, if the punishment was only, "You have to leave the country, and go back where you have extended family...sorry for the inconvenience.".

They got free public school education, paid for by Americans. They likely got welfare and free healthcare (because they have no parents legally reporting income) paid for by Americans.

They all qualify for "free lunches" paid for by Americans.

America does not owe these kids anything. On the contrary, they owe the American taxpayer everything.

They need to all go back. They can Make Mexico Great.....Again?

In other words, nothing will happen if the freedom caucus and enough democrats oppose it and DACA is gone once and for all.

Freedom Caucus do your job and kill this for good.

You must not know very many illegals. The ones I know work their butts off.

As for those brought here as kids, they haven't had anything handed to them. I am friends with a couple of them. They've also worked their tails off and have fought for everything they have. Your characterization is totally false.

Working their tails off in what occupations? Are you willing to answer that?

I don't fault them for working hard, but working hard doesn't equate to citizenship or free passes for ANYONE. Lots of people work hard for things they'll never get. Its called LIFE.

Your appeal to emotion doesn't mean illegal citizenry is some how logical. Appeal to emotion is the MO of the Democratic party and its exactly the type of thing you want to avoid when making large FINANCIAL DECISIONS.

Years later new evidence comes to light, the cops crack the case, and show up at my house with a warrant for my arrest. Should all that hard work keep me from facing the consequences of my actions from years ago? I think not.

Outstanding correlation, congratulations.

Been listening to this crap since the '80's. With all the legal paths to coming to this country as a refugee, temporary worker and other legal means, tell me why this group gets singled out for a free pass.

Of course we know the answer to that, lack of political will.

Like Milton Friedman said, a country can have open borders or it can have a welfare state. It can't have both.

It's not just the welfare state.

I have family members that teach in public schools here in CA and you wouldn't believe how COSTLY the students are who speak limited English. It requires an insane amount of resources to teach them, and many of them don't even finish k-12 schooling

In the words of Herbert Garrison

"Can we finally get rid of all the Mexicans?"

Why are you laughing? Are you seriously denying that it's an issue?

Furthermore, you claimed you supported trump's agenda. Immigration has been a huge part of his agenda, and you are bitching about it?

wtf?

My wife has worked for the past 17 years for a school district in the Los Angeles area. She talks frequently about the point you just made. A few years back, in a neighboring school district, 399 of the 400 kids in one particular elementary school were Hispanic. Approximately half did not speak English. You're preaching to the choir.
