Guess the percentage opposed to the ACA? 60% and they still managed to pass that.
I don't believe this at all, unless we're referring to the views after the ACA failed to live up to the promises.

We need to get rid of the economic incentive for illegals to be here in the first place and implement an effective e-verification program to hold employers accountable for hiring illegals. Make it easy to use give it teeth. All the sudden problem solved.

A wall does nothing other than increase government spending. I'm all for border control and dealing with illegal immigration, but a coast to coast wall is just more government waste and a symbolic bid to buy votes. Implement monitoring technology, hire boarder control, beef up ICE, implement e-verification, get rid of anchor babies; these are things that work. Shutting down the government because we want government to spend billions to build a frickin wall though is ignorant.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the powers that be want and push for the damned wall because they know it won't be effective. They can say look what we did while the flow of illegals still goes on.

Been listening to this shut down the government BS for 25 yrs. Why is it only one side gets blamed when it comes to shut downs?

There's one prime reason for a wall and that is to at least curtail the next DNC prick POTUS that gets in and does not enforce immigration laws. It will act like a jetty to brake the next wave of illegals.

Shutter down!

Military, essential service and SS.

Naw it's to placate the right so they don't have to actually enforce the immigration laws.

billions for a wall is such a waste compared to just making it a felony to hire one illegal.

you honestly think that would be any easier to get through Congress?
