Blue lives matter

quote:

A Texas police chief is speaking out after he says an employee at a local restaurant refused to serve two of his officers early Saturday.

Denison Police Chief Jay Burch wrote about what happened in a lengthy post on the Department’s Facebook page. He said the officers were cursed at by the female employee who refused service and that the restaurant manager’s only response was “I don’t get into politics.”

If a business does not want police officers as customers, just let us know,” Burch wrote. “There’s no need to curse us and make a scene, just let us know you don’t want us there and we’ll go somewhere else.”

He added, “Now going somewhere else in Denison in the middle of the night is not easy because our officers don’t have many options. What really gets my goat with such an incident is that while most of us are sleeping – sleeping!, the officers are out there working hard to keep us safe and when trying to take a break to eat – they face this type of reception from an employee of a local business and management calls it ‘politics’?”

Denison really isn't an area I would expect this in. I would expect to see a local boycott though...

If corporate has any damned brains they’ll fire this fricker stat. Not serving them is a political statement. Not punishing an employee hired to serve anyone that walks through the door, is also a political statement.

Furthermore, I don’t care why you don’t want to serve someone... that’s your fricking job. (And it’s the manager’s job to make the employees do their jobs.) If you don’t want to do your job, for whatever reason, then quit.

You see, THIS shite is exactly the message that the NFL is sending to our youth and to the minorities: be as disrespectful as you want at your job, especially to police/authority, and your employer will allow it.

I'm fine with this as long as they agree to call BLM if they get robbed instead of 911.

There was a similar incident in Hammond a few months ago. Several officers went in the Dairy Queen for a meal. The workers behind the counter were cursing them and calling them pigs. The officers left and this was all witnessed and over heard by customers who became irate over their treatment. It made its way to Facebook and back to the corporate office. Within 24 hours everyone was fired.

I want to believe that it's misguided 17 yr olds working there that very stupidly refused cops.

Reality is, it's probably mid20s college graduates with degrees in gender studies. Those assholes are apparently taught to use every outlet available to them, to make everything political.

I hope that employee and manager are fired immediately.

However, the title is misleading. They were served, just not by that psychopath.

Wow. You’re just doubling down on your stupid, I see. You single out the cops being the problem ‘and what our world has come to.’ No, you and your kind are the problem.

Like all the claims of racism that are made by that "rich culture" with all the "invaluable contributions"?

If you owned the place would you be okay with your employees refusing service to cops just because they are cops?
