That sounds really smart. Good "spite investment." They always have a good ROI.

The NFL is in the entertainment business. If they do something that the fans don't like it is bad business. Half of the country doesn't like players kneeling during the anthem. It isnt a freedom of speech issue. It's a business issue. We the fans can not watch and force the NFL's hand. It's not just a tiny issue, it's the fact that entrainment in this country portrays a set of values that isn't the case and makes fun of half the country and in this situation, that half of the country has a chance to be heard that they don't like it.

I turned on the 49ers vs. Redskins game at !0 AM when the TV coverage of the game began out here to see if anyone would kneel during the National Anthem but when they switched to the game, it was already the opening kickoff.

I think Fox started doing it that way intentionally so the kneelers wouldn't have a platform.

Stop giving it attention

That's how we got abortion and gay marriage. We quit giving it attention enough while they gave it all their attention, even though small in numbers at the time they starting wanting attention. They won.

So it would be okay if you went to a restaurant and when the waiter came over to your table to take your order, he told you that before he took your order he was going to tell you all about how "his people" have been mistreated in the USA, right?

He is a liberal...he simply doesn't understand this whole protest thing has nothing to do with "their freedoms" or "Constitutional rights". You make a great analogy though. I'd be interested to see if this every day scenario sinks in to his dense skull. If it doesn't, he is pitifully inept or just spewing talking point non-sense thinking he is being clever while we know he isn't.
