Jay Leno is one of, if not the, worst major interviewer of all time. If you want soft ball questions from someone who will not respond to you and just ask you questions like "what is your favorite color", go with Leno. Piers could at least deliver a good interview.

The Tonight Show is a softball format. What do you expect?

I couldn't stand the guy. I really want to punch him in the mouth.

I've been watching CNN more lately since they put the chick from CNBC on. I can tolerate Cooper. Chris Wallace is my favorite on Fox but he is usually only on Sundays.

Either way, about an hour within the 24 hour cycle is all I can take unless it's FoxBusiness or CNBC.

All-around, he wasn't really THAT bad. What destroyed him was his own constant crusade against guns. People in America like their guns. They don't like someone who turns their news show into an anti-gun obsession. They SURE don't like a Brit with a elitist air about him condescending to them about their guns. It's insulting. HE thought he'd been seen as a "rational third-party observer making reasoned recommendations" but he came off as a snooty Englishman telling us how to run our country.

I like Erin Burnett and Anderson Cooper. Baldwin and Blitzer are pretty good too.

Erin Burnett and Brooke Baldwin are the only reasons to watch CNN.

He recently had a pretty-well publicized Twitter war with Jeremy Clarkson, the lead on BBC's Top Gear. Clarkson pointed out that nobody in Britain likes Piers and that more people in the US watch Top Gear via BBC America than watched Pier's show even though Top Gear is a niche show that isn't made for an American audience.

Just let Leno bring his tonight show to the CNN 9pm slot. No need for Larry King interview format. Its not like CNN ratings could be worse.

FYI, Michael Savage lasted four months before he was fired while Baldwin got the axe after only five episodes (less than a month).

Burnett is good. When they hired her, I thought CNN was trying to slowly right the ship with a format containing credible anchors. I thought she did well at CNBC and I liked her politically incorrect coverage of Occupy Wall Street.

Cooper is fairly popular by CNN standards. He's not all that bad.

Soledad OBrian and now Morgan are gone. Giving both of them the axe were good moves by CNN. Maybe there is hope.

Who is the guy from Baton Rouge on CNN? He's on during the day.

They are all the right wing has. Who else is there to go up against the likes of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and President Obama? None of the elected Republicans are doing a very good job of it. At least the left has a group of elected officials that can slowly but surely move this country into a socialist state. It may not be as fast as you guys want but...

Maybe they will put this shite show in his time slot?

EXCLUSIVE: Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin may make their popular New Year’s Eve specials a regular thing. I hear the duo filmed a pilot today at the CNN studios in the Time Warner Center in New York. Details about the hourlong project are sketchy, but I’ve learned that it had a lot of humor in it and filmed in front of a live audience — which I hear included new CNN topper Jeff Zucker. While it is unclear whether the project is definitely for CNN, Zucker has been looking to shake things up at the ratings-challenged cable news network by adding more mainstream entertainment fare. The annual New Year’s Eve pairing of Cooper and Griffin draws solid ratings and generates a lot of headlines with racy moments like Griffin getting up close and personal with Cooper’s private parts this year.

I think this may have a little something to do with it as well, on top of the fact Chevy Chase looked like Walter Cronkite by comparison
