Kinda like where I am on the TX/La border. La now has the highest sales taxes in the nation. I get my goods in Texas now and save a bunch of taxation. I have also started getting a bunch of coupons for fast food and dollar stores for use on the La. side. Not a single ad or coupon for the Texas fast foods or dollar stores. (Texas still cheaper even with a coupon anyway).
I suspect in a couple of years the Texas side will replace the La. retailers completely. Several retailers, a couple new hotels and a fitness place all built and open on the Texas side, not one new business the La. side in past 2-3 years.
