There you go inserting your thoughts into the matter.

I as a christian know of no fellow christian who wants to convert any other faiths into christiandom OR ELSE KILL THEM.

Now he could be inferring 2 things, we need to convert them from their evil terrorist ways into HUMAN BEING'S or we will have to kill them.

Or he could have understood that unless they denounce their evil religious ways they must be killed, and only Christ Jesus can save these ill informed, barbarians.

Either way, he is not advocating for killing people because of their religion, but because of their fanatical beliefs that lead them to do evil.

Either way he is correct.

The whole idea of conversion is revolting. Forced conversion? Spain in the Middle Ages? Isis harks back a 1000 years ago in their barbarism.

oh don't get me wrong, HE isn't going to kill anyone. his talk is strong, but he just wants obama to bomb the shite out of them an/or send troops.

"convert or kill them" is pretty straight forward. I didn't think he had to spell it out to anyone with a bible in his hand while reading scripture, but apparently I guess he does.

watch the video. it's evident what he's talking about.

Well, hell why doesn't he do it-- he's a millionaire , he can buy arms, American's have joined ISIS, if he wants to talk big why not fly over and start a little militia.

I mean it'd hurt America, but let's face it 99.9% of these people talk big and will never, ever back it up.

Pretty much, hell Phil can't even use money as an excuse-- plenty of rich crazy muslims started/funded private militias in 1980s-- that's what Bin Laden did (though what got him street cred was actually going there and becoming a mujahadeen as opposed to just sending cash), and its not like private citizens of Western countries haven't joined on with ISIS-- If he's actually more than just a blowhard, saddle up cowboy, buy ticket, fund army and sack up.

Now, I don't want him to actually do this as making a lot of the moderates who are currently aligned against ISIS view this as a religious war as opposed to a war against a bunch of nutjobs who need to be wiped out (basically how say mainline evangelicals view Koresh or how they would view the Westboro Baptists if they ever went violent) would be disastrous but its not like he lacks the means or the methods, he simply lacks the will.

This is proof all Christians are just as evil as Muslims today.

Couple that with PR most likely being a Tea Party supporter.

This is the reason for all of the violence in the US.
So your logic is that if you are a Christian you are also a Tea Party supporter and are the single reason for all of the violence in our country. My bad, I thought it was drugs and gangs.

If you turned the clock back to the 1940's and Phil said

"When it comes to Nazi's and people who believe in Nazism, we have to try to convert them. If they don't then we need to step in and kill them."

Would you have a problem then? I'm a Christian and believe murder is wrong. However killing and murder are not the same thing. Sometimes killing is necessary to stop evil men from murdering innocent people. It's just the way it is. Would Phil Robertson want to kill ISIS if they were passing out food and Qu'rans in the Middle East? Probably not but it fits the narrative so people run with it.

You would think the governments of Iraq and Syria could reign in a rag tag group like this, huh?

So you don't disagree ISIS should be stopped and the US could do it but you're criticizing Phil Robertson for saying we can and should stop these murders? Ok
