Libtards at work.

Any teeth to this whatsoever?

Not what I wanted to read when I poured coffee this morning.

quote:

The election of Donald Trump as president is a bitter pill to swallow for millions of Americans — and some are backing a quixotic campaign to reverse that outcome. As of Friday afternoon, more than 2.4 million people had signed a petition to the U.S. Electoral College, urging its members to ignore their states’ votes and cast their ballots for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. “Mr. Trump is unfit to serve. His scapegoating of so many Americans, and his impulsivity, bullying, lying, admitted history of sexual assault, and utter lack of experience make him a danger to the Republic,” wrote Elijah Berg, who launched the petition on Change.org. Berg, of North Carolina, argued that the Electoral College can award the White House to either candidate and should use its own “most undemocratic” institution to ensure a “democratic result.” Berg continued: “24 states bind electors. If electors vote against their party, they usually pay a fine. And people get mad. But they can vote however they want and there is no legal means to stop them in most states.”

Yes absolutely. This country has a long history of overturning elections because the losing side signed a petition.

I thought they hated the electoral college.

The EC elected Clinton instead of Trump, there would be a 100% chance of civil war breaking out.

Let me put this in context...

There has been a total of 9 electors change their vote in the past 104 years. There has been no more than 1 elector change their vote in any of those election years.

Donald Trump is 37 votes past the number of votes needed to win. They'd need 38 electors to change their vote.

That ain't happenin'. Remember, these electors were all picked by the Republican Party. They are all Republicans. They aren't going to switch and vote in HRC. Especially 38 of them.

if only there was a system in place where people would sign their names to something, a ballot if you will, to voice their opinions of who should be president

That phrase is eerily similar to GWB's comment during the financial crisis, "we have to abandon the free market to save the free market."

These people are morons though. The election is over and you lost. Deal with it.

Only dumbass liberals think that petitions solve anything. It's akin to little league coaches playing games under protest.
