still not as bad as sex robots being sexist
quote:
An activist from The Campaign Against Sex Robots has issued an urgent warning about the "brutal dehumanisation of women" which could take place when men begin to have sex with artificial love machines.
Researcher Lydia Kaye said sex robots will encourage men to think women are nothing more than objects designed exclusively for masculine sexual gratification.
"Sex robots will create another means through which women will be presented as objects to be used for sexual gratification and mistreatment," she wrote.

What she should really be concerned about is the obsolescence of women, not their image in the bedroom. What happens when women can't compete with sex robots in 20 years?

Even if we’re joking, the instinct to harass our bots reflects deeper social issues. In the US, one in five women have been raped in their lifetime, and a similar percentage are sexually assaulted while in college alone; over 90% of victims on college campuses do not report their assault. And within the very realms where many of these bots’ codes are being written, 60% of women working in Silicon Valley have been sexually harassed at work.
I love this. You're more likely to be sexually assaulted in silicon valley in a cubicle than in prison.

quote:We are already way past that point in our society. In this culture, women have no problem showing off their bodies in public for the purpose of attention. They know that men will look at them with sexual desire in their eyes and they don't mind a bit. We live in a culture where women are fine with leaving the house in yoga pants when not going to yoga class. Women are fine with hooking up using Tinder and other apps and sites used to get laid. Women turn out in large numbers to watch a woman be sexually dominated in a movie.
Researcher Lydia Kaye said sex robots will encourage men to think women are nothing more than objects designed exclusively for masculine sexual gratification.
Women are already complicit in encouraging men to look at them sexually more than anything else, so why is a robot being used for sex a big deal now? Perhaps these people should be more concerned with our current culture rather than what may be on the horizon.

Siri, Alexa, Cortana, and Google Home have women’s voices because women’s voices make more money.
The only relevant takeaway.

They aren't?

These women really have no perspective on this. Women in America and Western Europe (pre-Muzzie invasion of course) are probably treated better than any other time throughout human history.
Well, at least they have more rights. Honestly they may be less valuable today since so many of them lack basic homemaking skills.

This article was what I was referencing in my social skills thread earlier today. Thank you for posting it, I could not find one that would load with filters at school.
