Libel

Public figures have a higher bar than the rest of us for demonstrating libel. There is an extremely good reason for that (because it would have a "chilling effect" on covering public officials).

Media Law 101 right there. Damn. Somebody needs a crash course.

His little rant was so tasty. Such a fail.
Another fricking political expert.

I'll admit it as I have before on this board before; I laughed at our POTUS during the summer of 2015.

I quickly stopped laughing after we got into 2016 and he went full throttle on MAGA. He would never let up. After the summer of 2016 I knew he wouldn't stop.

MAGA

The MSM's contention relates to some supposed public disinterest in Trump's inauguration vs Obama's.

Suggestions of public disinterest in the Trump inauguration are an abject provable lie.

Trump's 2017 viewing audience was 50% higher than Obama's 2013 audience. >30million vs 20million.

Of course it was a swipe at his knees. That is, is ego. But comparing election numbers to re-election numbers is silly. The whole thing is silly. And his taking the bait is silly.

I realize that you think he can do no wrong PR-wise because he won a narrow victory against a terrible opponent under criminal investigation, but he's going to pay a price for this eventually.

Perhaps you've got me confused with another poster.

I think his off-the-cuff comments at the CIA yesterday were lousy and undisciplined.

My beef though is with the BS-MSM. Instead of reporting facts, the media is continually inventing and creating news (aka Fake News), and doing so in a hyperpartisan way. If TeamTrump can force them to accountability, more power to him.

And Obama had 38 million in 2009. His second term wasn't going to draw as much by default, it was basically a re-run. So Spicer's "This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration. Period." simply wasn't accurate. They're not fighting a dishonest media as much as propping up a thin-skinned president.

Not sure, the ratings agency in Mozambique hasn't sent their numbers in yet.

I'm still laughing at him.

Mili Vanilli won a Grammy. They couldn't even sing. There are a lot of similarities.
