THIS is why people are marching today. no other reason. it's to vent out the ANGER stage of grief. i've decided to let them have it and stop fighting it. i had to call it out for what it was, but now it's just sad.

i love good discourse, debate and dialogue, but the left has abandoned all of that, especially as evidenced by what i saw on FB today. I went on an unfollow spree just, the likes of which have never been and will never be equaled.

That was the media obsessing. the WH spokesperson responded. No big deal if that was the only thing. It's not. The bust of MLK being reported by Time sorta moved things past that. On day 1, the leftist MSM has done nothing but lie.

No idea what that's about... Have not seen it.

Yeah... ok.

As with anything, the "we won big" will lessen as the administration gets going. The left just has to eat crow for a little bit--as you remember, "Trump has no way of winning" this election (see video compilations in this thread).

Just like Bama had to take it for the last 2 weeks for losing to ClemPson, but it's died down a bunch since hoops started.

The world moves on.

I'm watching the news. The Times apologized. And that issue has not "moved things past" anything. It's barely being mentioned.

Well hopefully it won't continue in front of Memorials to those killed in service to this country. We don't need the president taking his war with the media and his campaign plugs to the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington.

Seriously, we can split hairs here, but the media outright being dishonest has to stop. They have become a political arm of the left.

Accountability...... it has to happen at this point.

How many retweets? The fact is it's "ok" for them to lie and then apologize after the damage is done.

Again, the MSM has become political rather than reporting verified news. At some point, the MSM has to be held accountable.

Settle down man, it's his first day in office. He will soon be busier than a one legged man in an arse kicking contest--the small stuff will die down.

...and remember, Slick Willie got a BJ in the Oval Office from an intern while his wife was in the White House, so let's not get overly moral here.

What was the media dishonest about WRT the crowd sizes?

The Times was wrong or dishonest about the bust. But the main story today is the dust-up about the crowds.

The MSM has always been to some degree political. The non-MSM is much more unabashedly so.

So why not discard the slant/politics and use typically easily verifiable facts to form your own positions?

He is my president and I'm glad he won. That doesn't change the fact I think he is an absolute clown.

If he does half the shite he has proposed for the first 100 days, well he will win me over, but I'm not holding my breath.

But if he at the very least sticks to the names he proposed for SCOTUS and is able to show horn two spots in, I'll be more than thankful of him as potus.

It started with the MLK bust.

Nope. The issue is and remains that the MSM is simply a leftist political arm.

No sir. They are over the top now.

Why not hold the press accountable instead? I prefer the later.

Libel is a method of defamation expressed by print, writing, pictures, signs, effigies, or any communication embodied in physical form that is injurious to a person's reputation, exposes a person to public hatred, contempt or ridicule, or injures a person in his/her business or profession.

1. Libel laws are very, very difficult for public officials to bring to bear in this country.
2. Proving libel/slander against the press is hard anyway. They have a lot of leeway so as not to stifle press freedom.
3. Point out one libel leveled against President Trump that any other president couldn't claim.

It's time to start trying. I'm sure there is enough evidence from personal accounts on FB and Twitter that can prove a slant.

About to see a relaxation of those laws. They should not be ABOVE the laws the general public is held to!

You think Obama and GW Bush (for contemporary reference) weren't subject to much more salacious rumors and lies? Do you have the internet, bro?

I find this twisting of language humorous. It's not "relaxing" the law to make it easier to prosecute. It's tightening up. You wouldn't call a drop to .04 "relaxing" DUI law.
