On a serious note, of course he wants Trump to stop with the whole Mexico is paying for the wall shite. It provides him with zero political cover to react with any dignity. He's already unpopular in Mexico without bending over for Trump in such a public manner. You have to provide the guy with a way to save face even if he ends up capitulating. Which is very likely.

Huge Trump fan, but I agree with this. He needs to be able to bend to US demands without looking weak. They should both take the negotiations behind closed doors, because it is clear to everyone that Mexico will ultimately pay for the wall.

Maybe we will compromise and both contribute to the cost of the wall. Because that's how businessmen do deals. Talk shite then strike a compromise that works.

Negotiating on twitter is so much more fun though.
Different cultures appreciate different styles. From my experience, latin american cultures appearance is a big deal. They want respect, and react negatively when its not given. They will often do what you want, but it takes some time.
