Moral equivalence is how we've gotten to a place where people are defending satanic displays. It's absolutely nuts that we live in a culture that sees satanism as an acceptable religion. It's preposterous, and we deserve to have a fiery mountain dropped on us if this is how we rationalize sympathy for the devil.

Sure it is. Not all that long ago, the majority of people would have felt duty bound to remove it. Now people just shrug their shoulders and say, "It's just a statue."
