I'm no fan of Franken but it's disturbing how people on this board and then DU as well so clearly don't even attempt objectivity

So you think Frankenstein attempted objectivity? I learned a lot about Frankenstein's biases, and nothing from his questions.

Note:my spelling auto correct likes to substitute Frankenstein for Franken, and I must admit my approval!

To be fair, over 95% of our senators don't have the mental capabilities to do their job.

It's just absurd that we have a bunch of Mensa members on this board who think that nearly every Democrat is a moron (or if a woman, a dumb bitch or count) and mentally incapable of being a Senator even when they graduate cum laude from fricking Harvard. And with a degree in government no less. Meanwhile the same posters are doing asinine gymnastics defending a spoiled narcissistic thin-skinned twelve year old who can't stop tweeting nonsense.

Franken deserves criticism in many respects as do others of both parties but instead of logical critiques most just keep yelling "Moran!" at every single Democrat.

Weeeeeell, true Franken graduated in the top 25%(Cum Laude) of his UNDERGRADUATE class at Harvard College...but Gorsuch graduated top 25% (Cum Laude) of Harvard Law School....got his Doctor of Philosophy from the University College, Oxford, so yes, I would consider Gorsuch a superior mind.
ETA
I didn't even mention that Gorsuch has been nominated to be on the US Supreme Court, which is pretty impressive in and of itself.

Wooops! I just mentioned it!
However, congratulations on Franken being married for so long. Not an easy thing to do and probably his crowning achievement.

you would merely toss out the 393 convicted felons who voted, Coleman would have won by 81 votes

Those convicted of a Felony can vote in the state of Minnesota if they have been released and have fulfilled the conditions of their parole/probation.

Just another reason why I wouldn't live in Minnesota.
Of course, they lost me at snow!

My point remains: High Dem turnout - specifically the AA vote in support of Obama - in 2008 helped every Democrat on the ballot.

If Hillary gets the nomination in 2008, Norm Coleman is easily reelected.
