I know the general perception of Trump is that he has thin skin and is self-sabotaging, however the #1 indicator of success in the business world is emotional intellegence and he has been extremely successful in the business world. I honestly believe there is an alterior motive to his tweets rather than just being a softy. Kinda in the same way Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchy got famous for being "so dumb", I believe it's a show and has a greater motive.

Rosenstein hired Mueller. Rosenstein is Mueller's boss. Rosenstein is going along with Mueller's "investigation."
So, yes, Trump is placing the blame in the right direction.

McConnell & Ryan are steamrolling him on his campaign promises. The courts have struck him down relentlessly. Most of our allies have basically said we'll check back in with you guys in four years. His own staff leaks like a sieve and is in utter chaos. His closest advisers are under criminal investigation. He himself is a target of said investigation. Oh, and he has a daily ritual of undercutting himself and his agenda on Twitter (but hey, it fires up the POLI board!).
He is the weakest president since Carter and it's not long before he sinks below that historical baseline, if he hasn't already. He is impotent.
