So sad! Can you imagine the members of the Revolutionary Era resorting to violence and property damage to protest their dissatisfaction with their government? It's despicable really. I bet they are rolling in their graves.

Exactly! It's not like they tried to avoid them. They may have disagreed with policy but they all paid their taxes and people like Hancock or Sam Adams never resorted to illegal activity.

Actually the founders would have said, see this is exactly why we invented the electoral college.

Our founding fathers were dissatisfied with their government. They had a revolution. There was a lot of violence and property damage.

Actually, in the time of the founding fathers, they used to do stuff like destroy printing presses and arrest each other. Breaking a Starbucks window isn't quite on that scale.

But rioters should be arrested.

Proof? And don't quote liberal academics, or any main stream news sites because I don't trust that fake shite.

Just the people that are free to give their opinions.

The Founding Fathers would have hanged these "protestors".

And yes, I see the paper thin analogy you're trying to draw with the Boston Tea Party.

Trump and Hillary should have decided the election the old fashioned way. A duel with pistols from 20 paces.
Trump would be President and Hillary would be dead. The media would say Trump cheated. Bill would finally be free of the bitch. The net effect would be global happiness.

yeah pretty comparable, rising against an oppressive government vs. tearing up shite because the candidate you like didn't win. Pretty much the same thing.

These protesters don't give a frick about the Founding Fathers or the Constitution.

I hate Trump. I didn't vote for him. It was not my ideal outcome, but my ideal outcome was never going to happen. I'm not gonna waste my time protesting though. I came to work this morning like I always do and I'll go home to my wife and son like I always do.

I'll add that I have nothing against peaceful protesting. These aren't peaceful protesters. They're rioters.

That's my point. The Sons of Liberty were peaceful protesters, why can't these people be like them?

Agreed, Britain was preposterously oppressive. The Parliament spent an inordinate sum fighting the French and Indians in America and then they expected the colonists to help pay for the cost! Outrageous.

And thank God the protesters peacefully submitted their grievances to the government prior to engaging in violence.
