And what if the site is busy, the page won't load properly and Refresh is hit? Is it a hit each time a page is refreshed, or only when a user initially tries to go to the page?
That's another hit, and if you want to refresh your session, that's a hit, and if the site times out on you and you retry, that's another hit... and as the previous poster noted, if you have multiple applets or images on a page, those will all show a "hit" on their servers/load balancers.
If this system is so fragile it goes tits up on "6 million hits" I hope they've done some planning on DOS attacks. Otherwise I could pull out my old Compaq 386 with the 5 1/4 floppy drive and take that bitch down in a couple of hours.
