Obama to announce new $7 billion power initiative for Africa

You have got to be kidding me. 7 billion over 5 years? Shutting down coal plants in America while providing money for energy for a foreign country? I don't get it. Well actually, I do.

Where will the money come from

I hope this and other similar payouts under his watch get shoved down his throat the next time a debt crisis emerges

There's absolutely no good reason why we should be doing this.

Not only are we being the worlds police, are we being the nanny and handing out what's basically welfare out to foreign countries?

How can he do this. Doesn't the house have to approve of this spending?

I do not care about Africa! I have been there it is shite and it is their problem not ours!

The same can be said of the Middle East. I have been to nearly every country in the Middle East and wish we would get the hell out!

I'm no isolationist, but I’m tired of this country spending tax payer dollars to support other nations when those resources would be better spent here at home. We need to repair and upgrade our infrastructure and boost education in this country first before we worry about some third world nation.

I dont think the money is gone.

He is just announcing his intent to push the proposal.

Well, so far he has a pretty good track record of getting what he asks for.

He doesn't have any Teflon. He has a star wars defense provided by the media and it is wide and deep and effective for any of his shite decisions. Go back to Quayle and potato and compare that to any of Bidens gaffes and malaprops which get a brief mention in the no harm no foul kind of approach. Oboe is in a so elevated form of protection that the only exposure would be likened to Achilles heel at the gates of Troy.

re: Obama to announce new $7 billion power initiative for Africa
Summary:
Obama spends up to $100 million to go to Africa to announce spending $7,000,000,000 in Africa toward energy production.
A continent ruled by dictators - no chance for US taxpayer funds getting into their pockets.

In the meantime,
-Obama whines about the rich in the US not paying their fair share.
-Obama whines about the need for more taxes.
-Obama shuts down the White House to public tours due to budget cuts.
-Obama issues executive orders and EPA regulations to reduce "carbon pollution" in his war on coal and energy for US citizens in the name of the fraudulent climate change agenda.

Well Bush gave over $10 BB to Africa over 5 years (2003-2008).

Sounds like we're cutting the budget now!

This really shouldn't suprise anyone. Obama has shown time after time that he does not care about the constitution, the debt, or the will of the American people. And someone espoused earlier about Obama getting ready to go home to Africa; as much as it sounds like a ridiculous conspiracy theory........I think that he does view Africa as his homeland and shows disdain for America.

You think this is the only money Africa is getting from us?

That's cute

Egypt alone gets a ton. If this is money being redirected from places like Pakistan, then I approve wholeheartedly. If not, then I approve anyway. Africa gets less than other continents from the US. Let's be fair. And besides Africa is full of resources and China is eating our lunch over there.
