Former President Barack Obama is returning to the campaign trail to stump for Democratic gubernatorial candidates in New Jersey and Virginia as they gear up for next month's elections.

Thursday's events mark the first time the former president is stepping back into the political spotlight since leaving the White House.

Unlike more low-key appearances earlier this year, Obama's foray into two states won't be a one-and-done. He is planning more public appearances as the year closes, and preparation for the 2018 midterm elections begins.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that Obama won't help these candidates, nor will he be able to shore up the black vote (as the article says) for these white privileged fat cats.

No great feat, being that he legit won in 2008; but he bussed in voters and hit the cemetaries big time to win re election. He lost at least the Independent voters.

Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted announced Wednesday that his office found 17 non-citizens illegally cast ballots in the 2012 presidential election -- and has referred the case for possible prosecution.

Care to put your money where your mouth is for a one-week self ban wager? Or a change in sig quote to something named by the winner for one month? Any other takers?

Why didn't you quote out the rest?

Husted also found that 274 non-citizens remain on the voting rolls.

President Obama beat Mitt Romney in Ohio by just 2 percentage points in November 2012.

As part of Ohio's efforts to clean up the voting rolls, election officials discovered that more than 257,000 dead people were still listed as active voters. Their names and status, Husted said, have since been removed.

In addition, election authorities note they have drastically reduced the number of duplicate registrations, from 340,000 in 2011 to just four this past November -- and that more than 370,000 Ohio voters who have moved have been contacted to update their voting information.

"Now that we have the ability to cross-check citizenship information with Ohio's voter rolls, I will continue to be vigilant and to push the General Assembly for additional tools to modernize our elections systems, making it easy to vote and hard to cheat," Husted said.

Because they likely did not vote. Who knows if half of those voted Obama’s margin could’ve been bigger .

Are you really hanging your hat on 17 who voted illegally and 274 who were illegally on the rolls in a 332-206 win? Looks like it

Bathhouses.

If any other Presidential candidate had some dude come out and say he was smokin a L in the back of the Benz-y while they were blowing each other, what would have happened to that candidate?
