I don't assume that victims of collateral damage are "minding their own business." I'm sure that is sometimes the case, but I'd wager that, far more often, they are either harboring terrorists or are apathetic.
Either way, the all-chick fighter bomb squad idea is solid gold.

I hate to use the word "propaganda" but at some point you have to really wonder why so many posters believe this shite and harbor such hate; especially during a crisis they know so little about. Sad stuff.
I shouldn't be amazed at the posts in this thread, but I kinda am.

bombing arabs is such a nice, shiny distraction from your DoJ selling assault weapons to drug cartels and your IRS destroying the lives of anyone who disagrees with you, let alone your importation of terrorists and deadly diseases.
thanks god for the arabs, eh dim-libs!
meanwhile,, our wonderful govt protecting our border??

I totally get what you are saying, but these dudes are bad people. They took our one boogeyman (Al Qaeda) and made them their bitch. They've done what Al Qaeda could only hope to accomplish in the past 15 years, and did it in a matter of months.
What we are seeing is pretty fascinating. They have some pretty technically savvy people running their propaganda, using social media as their platform. I mean, LiveLeaks, of ALL places, has begun to filter out videos from ISIS. For LiveLeaks to do that is kind of unprecedented, considering they love them some mexican cartel chainsaw beheadings.
ISIS has been pretty straight forward about what they are wanting to accomplish. And they aren't afraid to show it, either. They don't forget what we've done there...and any action we take - whether it's just leave or continue bombing, is only going to fuel the fire.
So what do we do...pick up shop and leave so they can continue their sacking of villages, raping, killing, and committing genocide? If we do, they vow to grow stronger (which they've shown to do, immediately after we left Iraq) and chances are that they'd try to pull some shite here. Or, do we continue fighting, and create more branches of terrorism? Do we bomb them, and hope to frick that more people (not just the Kurds) rise up and get out of the "I must be ruled" mentality?
It's quite the clusterfrick.

When I mean we, I mean the world. Well, the world outside of their twisted version of faith.

Ugh. To fight terrorists we become terrorists in the process.

as a country, we'll never learn.

What we've done is ensure the fight is taking place somewhere other than on our soil. That's really the goal. This whole "we can win" is for show. Winning is simply not getting a bunch of civilians killed. This is the administration's view (very similar to Bush)

Then what should we do?
About what?
Rebels in Syria? You want to bomb them.
Assad? You wanted to bomb him too.
Who the frick do you NOT want to bomb over there? How about we do nothing?

What, exactly have those 200 million people who hate them done so far?
I'm not trying to harbor anything either. This stuff is very interesting to me, and I love to read about it. It's a discussion of what going on over there.
