It seems to be forgotten, but in a December interview obama admitted that Russia has tried to influence our democracy going back to the Soviet Union and that the emails the russians released weren't that significant. Obama throws cold water on the lefts newest shiny object, russian hacking.

The interview was in mid december. Keep reaching, I guess it's easier than admitting defeat.

But it was her turn! American's should have sacrificed themselves so that she could be the first woman president! It's not fair!

NO ONE HAS DISPUTED THE AUTHENTICITY OF THE LEAKED EMAILS.

The US electorate owes Russia (or whoever) a debt a gratitude for throwing back the curtain on these giant assholes and allowing the US voters to cast an informed vote.

Thank You Putin, for opening our eyes.

If they were significant, what did they show?

Either the content of the emails was true or it was not.

Address that and then we can address who obtained and released them and when.

Demonstrate even a smidgen of honesty in your argument.

Que?

I believe I am focusing on the most germane part of the argument unless I am missing something. They can complain all they want about Russian interference. In the end, the words are the words. Address them and we can go from there.

There's no reason to wait on the veracity of what they obtained before addressing their actions.

Not sure I am following you. My concern is that those who accuse Russia of illegally obtaining the e-mails refuse to acknowledge the content of said e-mails (which is the primary issue at hand from my perspective).

Are we even close to the same topic/issue?

We are. My concern is those that push Russia's actions (the primary issue at hand from my perspective) aside because of the content of the emails. It's great that we have these emails, but anyone pretending we shouldn't care about how they were obtained is silly.

I absolutely am concerned about how they were obtained. However, I refuse to refer to it as "hacking" because it gives a false picture of what occurred (unless they did surreptitiously hack into his computer - something I have not seen). It is my understanding it was a phishing attempt that Mr Podesta fell for. I do notice that 90% (or more) of the dialogue is about hacking and little to nothing is about the content. That, to me, is dishonest.

ETA: This is along the lines of the "Pentagon Papers" in my opinion.

Fantastic. Spread the word.

I never have. It doesn't need to be hacking. That's simply ignorance by those discussing it.

Ok I get when people joke about Putin being a good guy, I don't get when they genuinely have respect for him.

Putin is a terrible human being, a murderer, and gangster, a thief. Let's all he clear on that. I'm glad we saw the emails, but that doesn't make Putin a good guy and we shouldn't be "thanking" him. Thank WikiLeaks instead.

As we all should be.

Bingo, it's not hacking but a deflection from the content.

He dresses nicely though. That should count for something.
