Defund them.. plain and simple.

quote:

She suggested that future interviews be taped: “In addition, in my opinion, these interviews should not be done live. Inskeep is an excellent live interviewer, but live interviews are difficult, especially when there is limited time. A little contextualizing never hurts.”

What happened? Breitbart's Polak did a live interview and pretty much owned the radio host.

quote:

Pollak, who serves as Breitbart’s Senior Editor-at-Large and In-house Counsel, defended its Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon from false and defamatory claims of antisemitism and “white nationalism.” He also turned the tables, pointing out that NPR has “racist programming,” including a story that called the 2016 election results “nostalgia for a whiter America.”

And Look... NPR issued a MEMO that she referenced to...

quote:

Jensen applauded the use of the term “white nationalist” to describe Bannon, although she noted Bannon had disputed that term. She linked to an internal NPR memorandum suggesting the term “white nationalist” be used in stories on the “alt-right.”

Guidance On References To The ‘Alt-Right’ #

When referring to the “alt-right” movement, additional words are needed because many in the audience either have not heard of it or aren’t sure what it is.

Owned by a Polak? That's gotta hurt.

Polak destroyed that interviewee. He was dropping booms my whole way into
work.

But they'll keep allowing the hate-filled liberal speech of Attica Locke a few days prior.

audio & transcript of interview

I've never heard of Joel Pollak before, but he's killing it.

Here's the obligatory video link to him owning an entire panel on Don Lemon's propaganda program.

The clear choice.

Tax dollars should not be funding fake news organizations anyway.

Newt Gingrich was one of the first to refuse taped interviews when he was Speaker of the House. All of them had to be live. It's because he knew how they could edit the interview to change context.

They can't make them look as bad live as they can after editing.

It's like the media has no idea they had a direct hand in electing TRUMP. They must not, because they are doubling down on stupid.

Defund NPR. They have violated their charter for decades. They must be defunded.

If we defunded them, planned parenthood and all sanctuary cities how much would we save?

Yep, hopefully this happens during Trump's administration. I know most of NPR's funding comes from other sources but government should not be providing ANY funding for media outlets.

I have no issues with public radio, but public institutions MUST be impartial.

I extend it much further to include that their employees should not be permitted to vote.

Wow - a couple of things

1 - it's not really surprising that leftists are afraid to a fair debate with conservatives. We saw it with Hillary Clinton & this is just another example. I suppose it is too frustrating for the progs at NPR to not have a chance to edit the interview and re-define the narrative

2 - I have been advocating for DECADES that we need to de-fund these people. IF this is supposed to be the publicly funded voice of America and our tax dollars keep it afloat; then it ought to be required that they have equal representation from conservative points of view.

Barring that, then let them make it commercially without any money from ME
